FESTIVAL DE TORONTO 2014: nouvelle salve de films dévoilée (dont Midnight Madness)

Une nouvelle salve de films sélectionnés au Festival de Toronto a été dévoilée après celle de la semaine passée. La sélection Midnight Madness, consacrée chaque année au cinéma de genre, est désormais connue. Parmi ces films, à noter Tokyo Tribe de Sono Sion, Big Game de Jalmari Heleander (Père Noël: origines), Cub, le jeu de massacre de Jonas Govaerts qui sera également montré à l’Étrange Festival, Tusk de Kevin Smith, The Guest d'Adam Wingard (You're Next), la comédie horrifique néo-zélandaise What We Do in the Shadows de Taika Waititi & Jemaine Clement ou encore [REC] 4: Apocalypse de Jaume Balagueró. A noter que le nouveau Tetsuya Nakashima, The World of Kanako, fera sa première internationale dans la section Vanguard.

Parmi la sélection documentaire, citons notamment The Look of Silence de Joshua Oppenheimer, tandis que les nouveaux Roy Andersson, Hong Sang-Soo, Im Kwon-Taek ou encore Ann Hui s'ajoutent à la sélection avant-premières.
